Leslie Nielsen Remembered By David Zucker

'Airplane!' and 'Naked Gun' producer/writer/director pays tribute to the actor, who died Sunday.

Relationships of Hollywood movie sets tend to be shallow, short-lived and mostly a put-on. But when producer/writer/director David Zucker, his brother, Jerry, and their partner Jim Abrahams cast Leslie Nielsen in their 1979 disaster spoof "Airplane!," they had no idea that they would not only provide a second life to a hard-working actor's career, but gain a true friend in the process.

(For photos of the late actor throughout his career, click here.)

David Zucker penned a loving tribute to Nielsen — who died on Sunday at age 84 due to complications from pneumonia — for the Hollywood Reporter on Monday, paying homage to a man he said he was barely aware of when he cast him in the classic comedy, but who came to be one of his favorite people.

"It was summer 1979, a full three weeks before the start of shooting for 'Airplane!' and our casting director had finally had enough. Lloyd Bridges, Robert Stack, Peter Graves and now Leslie ... who?" Zucker said of the career actors who'd been tapped to lampoon their on-screen personas for the film.

"At least audiences had heard of the first three, but this guy — it was true, when it came time to select an actor to play Dr. Rumack, my brother Jerry, Jim Abrahams and I remembered: 'This one guy, he's been in hundreds of television shows, and I think he played the captain of the Poseidon. What's his name?' Our research revealed that the actor's name was Leslie Nielsen. Jim, Jerry and I were thrilled when he agreed to meet, not because he was 'funny' but because of his long résumé of serious films and TV."

The trio thought Nielsen was "hysterical," saying his career of straight dramatic roles made him perfect for the role of clueless doctor Rumack. In fact, when they watched his earlier films they laughed, even if the movies weren't supposed to be funny.

"At our first meeting, he mentioned proudly that he had done an episode of 'M*A*S*H*.' We assured him we wouldn't count this brief comedy experience against him. But when he read the 'Airplane!' script, he 'got' its unconventional nature and offbeat style. We heard later that he told his agent, 'Take whatever they offer; I'd pay them to do this.'

"Arguably the best role was that of Dr. Rumack, played by the guy no one wanted or ever suspected would be funny, much less go on to have a second career starring in feature films as a goofball comic," Zucker continues. "Leslie was great in the role because he never 'winked' — let on that he knew he was in a comedy. This was essential to the style, and Leslie had a natural instinct for it."

They went on to an "Airplane!" sequel and a trio of "Naked Gun" movies and a "Police Squad!" TV series. And in all those projects, Zucker said he and his partners didn't have to shower Nielsen with praise to let him know he was nailing it. When he heard Zucker laughing during the take, Nielsen knew he'd nailed it.

"Tough to just sit there silently during 'Nice beaver!' "Zucker wrote of cracking up on set. "Offscreen, he wasn't so much of a joke or storyteller but a chronic prankster. The stories are legion about the fart machine, which he kept hidden and sprang on any hapless stranger who approached him. He used it on set, on talk shows, anywhere he could find a victim. One time, at a press junket in Charlotte, I remember watching Leslie let loose with the device on a crowded elevator, the other occupants squirming up against the walls in an effort to distance themselves. And just like the scenes we put him in, he never broke character, never let on that he knew he was being funny."

For a man who had spent his career playing it straight, Nielsen relished his newfound status as an "international comedy icon," treating it as a kind of prank he'd pulled on the rest of us.

Zucker said he always tried to find a slot for Nielsen in his movies as the years went on and Nielsen was always happy to oblige. And, invariably, he was the funniest part of each project.

"We invariably would get to discussing our history together, reminiscing a bit and renewing our good-natured debate about who the hell was luckier to have met the other, Leslie Nielsen or the Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker team," Zucker said of their later encounters. "The truth was, all of us knew how grateful we were to have each other in our lives, both professionally and personally, and we expressed it to each other often. Leslie was grateful for everything in his life (most especially his wife Barbaree), almost as though he didn't feel he deserved any of it. Maybe that's why he was so happy.   "And maybe that's why he was so good at making everyone else happy."

In the midst of a divorce from Tony Parker, Eva Longoria is not looking to bring a baby into her life right now. Despite reports over the weekend that the Desperate Housewives star had plans to adopt a child, a source close to the actress says the talk is simply not true.

"She is simply heartbroken," a friend told People.com. "She really wishes Tony the best. She just wants this whole situation to be as peaceful as it can be under the circumstances. He's a good person at heart, and she wants the best for him."

Longoria filed for divorce from Parker, 28,  on Nov. 17, reportedly after discovering hundreds of sexy text messages between her husband and a former teammate's wife.

Given her situation, should Eva Longoria consider adopting a child right now? Chime in below!

Justin Bieber's My Worlds Acoustic: A Cheat Sheet

Get the scoop on the singer's latest album, out Black Friday.

On Black Friday, the year's busiest shopping day by far, Justin Bieber will release his album, My Worlds Acoustic. It will feature one new track, "Pray," as well as acoustic reinterpretations of some of Bieber's biggest songs from his first two LPs, My World and My World 2.0.

While fans have gotten the chance to hear "Pray" as well as acoustic teases of "Favorite Girl" (when he stopped by Ryan Seacrest's radio show this month) and "Never Say Never," his musical director, Dan Kanter, tweeted what the rest of the album will sound like, saying, "Loving the percussion... Cajones and congas! Definitely an influence from our travels around the world!"

As for "Pray," Bieber has said he was inspired by a track from the King of Pop himself. "It's a very uplifting song, very motivational," he said. "It definitely comes from the heart. It's very beautiful. I definitely thought of Michael [Jackson's] 'Man in the Mirror' when I was writing it."

The album, which also features "One Time," "Baby," "One Less Lonely Girl, "Down to Earth," "U Smile," "Stuck in the Moment" and "That Should Be Me," was recorded because Bieber wanted to silence his critics. "I really think that I did an acoustic album because there's a lot of haters out there that say, 'Justin Bieber can't sing. His voice is all Auto-Tuned,' " he said. "And there's a lot with production, it kind of drowns out your voice, and it takes away from the singer, over the synths and everything.

"I think kind of stripping it down," he added, "and having it kind of really mellow and being able to hear my voice is why I wanted to do it."

Will you be picking up Bieber's latest on Black Friday? Let us know in the comments!

Akon Weighs In On New Michael Jackson Tracks

Their collaboration, 'Hold My Hand,' was 'preapproved,' Akon tells MTV News about Michael track.

There has been much debate over the release of new music by Michael Jackson, set for release on his album Michael, due out December 14. Some fans and some of Jackson's collaborators, such as will.i.am, have spoken out about the release of the tracks, many of which were finished after Jackson's death. It's an argument that Akon, who worked with Jackson on the song "Hold My Hand," understands.

"Michael Jackson's new album and the new releases, of course, there's been comments about whether or not [it] should actually be released or whether it would reflect his true authenticity, but naturally because of the fact he's not here to see it through, it definitely wouldn't reflect what he had in mind for it because there's other minds working for him," Akon told MTV News about the tracks. "But I think at the end of the day, we have two choices: We can put out the little that we do have to hold onto, or we can just never ever put it out again. ... The material that he did have that was finished, he would have loved to put it out.

"[The songs] were created by him, now whether or not they were finished by him is a different story," he added. "And that's just a collective effort of all of us. It's a double-edged sword."

Akon points out that one of those finished tracks is "Hold My Hand," making the argument that his contribution to the album is Jackson-approved.

"If he was here today, I think he would definitely approve of 'Hold My Hand,' because it was already preapproved," he said. "But the rest of the songs, I'm not quite sure how far those songs went 'cause Michael's a perfectionist. He wouldn't let anything go unfinished. Me knowing him from my standpoint of viewing him, I'm not quite sure, because he won't stop; he will go and go until there's not one doubt left in his mind that this record is perfect.

"So, I hope he would [have approved of the album], then again, you never know. He's the only one that can answer that question."

Do you think the tracks should be released? Sound off in the comments below.

Britney Spears 'Glee' Episode Takes On '... Baby One More Time'

Lea Michele dons Brit's naughty schoolgirl look for a faithful cover of the 1998 hit.
By Aly Semigran

Lea Michele performs "... Baby One More Time" on "Glee" on Tuesday
Photo: FOX

It was the song that launched the career of one of the most beloved, albeit troubled, pop stars of the past decade. Its iconic video spawned a modern-day "Lolita" and earned the title of #1 first favorite video on "TRL." So, of course, Britney Spears' 1998 smash "... Baby One More Time" was an obvious choice for Tuesday night's episode of "Glee."

While general-anesthesia-induced hallucinations had another Brittany (Heather Morris) tackling "Me Against the Music" and "I'm a Slave 4 U," star Lea Michele took on the timelessly catchy "...Baby One More Time." As Michele mimicked Spears' naughty schoolgirl look, the instantly recognizable opening notes pounded on the piano (though the "Glee" version had a slight change of key). With her throaty "Oh bay-buh, bay-buh," Michele effortlessly channeled the song (surprisingly enough, she sounded downright restrained) that made the former "Mickey Mouse Club" member a superstar.

It's fitting that "Glee" paid homage to the song that is but a few weeks away from celebrating its 12th anniversary. (Go on and take a moment to absorb that information.) "... Baby One More Time," the first single of Spears' debut album of the same name, was released in the United States in late October 1998.

Of course, it could have all sounded very different if writer Max Martin had followed through with his original plan to have R&B heavyweights TLC sing the track. The song was also originally titled "Hit Me Baby One More Time" but was changed due to concerns about it being misinterpreted.

In Spears' capable 16-year-old pigtails, the single went on to sell over 9 million copies, garnered Spears her first Grammy nomination (Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, which she lost to Sarah McLachlan for "I Will Remember You") and reached the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. The rest of the album featured other Spears hits, including "(You Drive Me) Crazy" and "Sometimes," but neither of those songs left quite the same impact.

Spears told Blender — which placed the track at the #9 spot on its list of "The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born" — that the song wasn't an easy undertaking for her at first (of course, neither was the immense fame that followed). Spears revealed, "I didn't do well at all the first day in the studio. I was just too nervous. So I went out that night and had some fun. The next day I was completely relaxed and nailed it. You gotta be relaxed singing '... Baby One More Time.' "

Spears looked more than at ease during awards show appearances that followed, namely the 1999 VMAs, in which the leather-clad pop princess took the stage alongside her tourmates 'NSYNC for a "... Baby One More Time"/ "Tearin' Up My Heart" showstopper.

Of course, long before the folks at "Glee" took "... Baby One More Time" out for a spin, countless other musicians had already had at it. From punk rock (Simple Plan) to acoustic (Travis), Spears' song has been refashioned (albeit, sometimes ironically) in many genres. Take, for instance, Bowling for Soup's cover of the ditty, which wound up on Bowling for Soup Goes to the Movies. And even Jamie Lee Curtis and Chad Michael Murray took a crack at it in the 2003 film "Freaky Friday."

Beyonce's Parents, Mathew And Tina Knowles, Skip Divorce Hearing

Despite the fact that Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles, filed for divorce from B's father, Mathew, nearly a year ago, it appears the couple might not be headed for a split after all.

According to TMZ, Mathew and Tina were expected to appear at court in Harris County, Texas, on Monday, but no one showed up, so the judge dismissed the case. There is no official word from Mathew or Tina's reps about a possible reconciliation.

Tina filed divorce papers last November after 29 years of marriage to Mathew. Mathew was reportedly hit with a paternity suit in October 2009 from a woman named Alexsandra Wright, who was then six months pregnant with a child she claimed was Knowles'. A paternity test later proved that the child was, indeed, Mathew's. Neither Tina nor Mathew commented on whether that incident precipitated her divorce filing.

Both parents have played a pivotal role in Beyoncé's career, with Mathew quitting his job at IBM nearly 20 years ago to begin managing the singer's early group, Girl's Tyme, which eventually morphed into Destiny's Child. He has had producer credits on many of B's projects, including the 2009 film "Obsessed," and he is the founder of Music World Entertainment, a label that, through Columbia Records, has released albums by Beyoncé's sister, Solange Knowles; Sunshine Anderson; and former DC members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

Tina Knowles is a stylist and one of the principals in House of Deréon, a fashion line she helped launched in 2004 with Beyoncé. She also designed many of DC's one-of-a-kind costumes early in their career.

Akon Disagrees With Will.i.am Over Michael Jackson's Posthumous Release

'These records would have come out whether he was alive or dead,' 'Kon says.
By James Dinh

As with many other posthumous releases, the forthcoming Michael Jackson album, Michael, is already creating controversy. After will.i.am told Entertainment Weekly that he thought it was "disrespectful" to release the collection of previously unheard material from the King of Pop, fellow collaborator Akon struck back.

'Kon, whose "Hold My Hand" collaboration with Jackson dropped on Monday as the LP's first single, insists that releasing new music is actually a way of honoring the icon.

"I think that's probably will's opinion," Akon told TMZ of the Black Eyed Peas frontman's statement. "Me personally, I think that's keeping his legacy alive, if you ask me. I don't see anything disrespectful about it. He got his people taking care of it. We all did records that we actually worked on together on the album. These records would have come out whether he was alive or dead, so I think this actually to helps keep his legacy alive. I honestly disagree with that."

The hip-hop star explained that he hopes "Hold My Hand" will reach "another level" and be properly distributed as he and the Jackson team had originally planned.

Last week, will.i.am slammed the project, suggesting that there's no honor in the upcoming release, due in stores December 14. "Whoever put it out and is profiting off of it, I want to see how cold they are," he told EW. "To say that what [Michael] contributed during his life wasn't enough. He just wasn't any ordinary artist. He was a hands-on person. To me it's disrespectful. There's no honoring."

Not only did Akon call his sessions with MJ "amazing," but he also gushed that it was nothing short of a dream come true saying, "He was a very incredible person, very creative. That was really a dream come true on my end. I enjoyed every moment of it."

Do you agree with Akon or will.i.am on the new Michael Jackson album? Share your thoughts below!

Adam Lambert's 'Whole Lotta Love': The Story Behind The Cover

Glam rocker tackled the legendary 1970 Led Zeppelin song for 'American Idol' rock night.
By Gil Kaufman

Adam Lambert performs "Whole Lotta Love" on "American Idol" on Tuesday

Imagine a freight train speeding toward you at midnight. Or a rockslide barreling down a hill as you try to outrace it. That's the feeling of the ominous, chugging Jimmy Page riff that kicks off Led Zeppelin's 1970 Stonehenge of rock, "Whole Lotta Love." And that's before singer Robert Plant leans into one of the nastiest, ecstatic rock screams this side of the Who's "Won't Get Fooled Again."

That's the song Adam Lambert chose to sing on "American Idol" rock night Tuesday (May 5), and, needless to say, it was a challenge that the eyeliner-loving Los Angeles stage veteran was more than up for, hitting a series of high notes and rock screams that would have made Plant proud. It was a risky maneuver that paid off for Lambert, who chose a tune that came in at #75 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time" in 2004.

The legendary British rock act recorded the tribute to Chicago blues icon Willie Dixon during their second U.S. tour after working it out in their live show, including it on their 1969 classic album Led Zeppelin II. Like many of the songs Zeppelin performed early in their career, "Love" was a blues standard turned on its head with a heavy dose of crunching psychedelic guitar and thundering drums, courtesy of late drummer John Bonham. The song was based on a 1962 tune by another blues forefather, Muddy Waters, called "You Need Love," which was penned by Dixon.

For Zeppelin's version, Plant customized the lyrics by adding some lyrical quotes from a few other songs Dixon wrote for Howlin' Wolf, "Back Door Man" and "Shake For Me," nailing the tricky vocal in a single take. It was also inspired by 1966's "You Need Loving" from the British rock group the Small Faces, for whom Zeppelin had great affection, but they also did not credit Dixon for his part in writing the original lyrics. The song became Zeppelin's first U.S. single and their only U.S. top 10 hit. Though their manager would not let them release singles in the U.K. because he thought it cannibalized album sales, the song was finally released as the band's only British single in 1997.

Dixon sued Zeppelin over the song in 1985, claiming it borrowed too heavily from his "You Need Love," and Zeppelin reached an agreement with him, with Dixon using the money he received to set up a program that provided musical instruments for schools. A cornerstone of heavy rock, the tune -- which was the theme song for the long-running British countdown show "Top of the Pops" in the 1970s and '80s -- has been covered by dozens of artists over the years, from Tina Turner and Ben Harper to Prince, Slash, Leona Lewis, Train's Pat Monahan, the London Symphony Orchestra and Jane's Addiction.

Lloyd Banks Reveals Fate Of 'Blue Fridays' Series

Hunger for More 2 MC tells MTV News he's going to 'keep supplying the street,' but tracks 'might not drop on Friday.'

Lloyd Banks

Lloyd Banks just dropped his The Hunger for More 2 album on Monday, but the Queens MC says he has no plans to quit releasing free music.

MTV News spoke to G-Unit's Boy Wonder about the fate of his weekly Blue Fridays series, and he told us he has to keep feeding the streets.

"As far as the Blue Fridays go, I'm gonna keep going up until the last Friday," Banks said. "So maybe Black Friday, I'll stop there, but that's just that phase. I'll go into a whole new series — I don't want to name anything yet — I'm definitely going to keep putting out content, it just might not drop on Friday."

Banks kicked off Blue Fridays in October to help build anticipation for HFM2, the rapper's first album since signing with G-Unit/EMI.

Hunger for More 2 finds the Punch Line King backed by a heavyweight guest list of beatmakers (Ryan Leslie, J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League) and features (Raekwon, Pusha T, Styles P). But while the album is now on sale, Banks is primed to ramp up his freebie deliveries.

"I think I've spoiled people to the point that they expect more than just one song," Banks said. "Maybe I'll start dropping two songs a day; I'm definitely not gonna go back to the point where I stop supplying the street. I think that was part of the reason for the resistance, is that people know you're capable of doing it. It's like showing your trainer you can do 100 push-ups and then try to do 50 tomorrow."

(No pun intended, of course.)

Are you excited for Banks to start up another series? What do you think of HFM2 Tell us in the comments!

Fresh off Christina Aguilera's saucy song-and-dance number at the American Music Awards on Sunday, many are sweating out the release of her new film, "Burlesque," which hits theaters Wednesday.

"Burlesque" follows a small-town girl (Aguilera) who journeys to the city looking for her big break but instead finds herself in the sensual world of burlesque. Aguilera makes her feature debut alongside the legendary Cher and a beautiful and talented supporting cast that includes Cam Gigandet, Stanley Tucci, Julianne Hough and Eric Dane.

We recently caught up with the stars of the film, who giggled as they recalled their unique wardrobe racks for the suggestive-yet-sweet musical.

Gigandet joked that, unlike the women in the film who were clad in elaborate bustiers and stockings, his wardrobe included "cookie boxes and pajamas." (In one very memorable scene, Gigandet parades around with nothing but a Famous Amos box covering his nether regions.) Aguilera lamented that he got off easy: "You didn't have to do any push-up bras, any high heels, any fishnet stockings."

Aguilera did reveal a few makeup secrets, however, and reported that Gigandet donned eyeliner for his part as Jack, the love interest to Aguilera's Ali. Gigandet took it all in stride. "It was fun to be something different," he said. "Yes, it was. I gotta say, it made my job easier to kind of, you know, step into a different character, into a different world."

On a side note, Gigandet also commented on how the legion of fans from his stint in the "Twilight" series has followed him, as compared to other roles — particularly as martial-arts champion Ryan McCarthy in 2008's "Never Back Down."

"It varies, where I am," he said, regarding whether he's still bombarded by Twilighters wherever he goes. "I mean, you know, when I was in New Orleans and Louisiana a few months ago, it was 'Never Back Down' that caught everyone's attention. I know, I love it. But there's 'Twilight' fans all over the world."

Aguilera noted that, once "Burlesque" hits theaters, it will be Gigandet's character Jack who will get all the buzz from fans. "Of course," Gigandet laughed. "Then I'll be 'Famous Amos cookies' for the rest of my life."

Check out everything we've got on "Burlesque."

Celebrity Favorites: Janet Jackson, Kimberly Elise and Thandie Newton

Although the ladies of Tyler Perry's "For Colored Girls" had to embrace pain and confront harsh realities to channel the characters in the movie script, from an adaptation of playwright Ntozake Shange's 1974 Broadway hit "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide When the Rainbow Is Enuf," offscreen, the cast was as cool as Janet Jackson's character in the film.

"She's someone who has no time for niceties, really," Jackson told MTV News of her role. "That was a tough thing for me, to drop the 'please' and the 'thank you,' just trying to get into the role, get into her head and doing that at home and in my world, that was kind of tough, but eventually it happened. [Laughs.] She has her walls up, for sure."

OK, maybe the lovely ladies of Perry's film weren't that cool. But when the camera wasn't rolling, Jackson, Kimberly Elise and Thandie Newton spent plenty of time listening to music.

"I enjoy listening to Drake, I enjoy listening to Bruno Mars," Jackson revealed. "I enjoy listening to Gaga."

"I love Citizen Cope," Elise added. "Anything Citizen Cope-y. I like Matt and Kim; they're different."

Newton noted a track from Amos Lee's discography, "Long Line of Pain," from the blues singer's Supply and Demand album, as a song she kept loaded in her iPod during filming.

"I'm a huge fan of TV on the Radio," Newton said. "A bit of Afro-Punk. I like a bit of Amos Lee, one of his songs, 'Long Line of Pain,' really reminded me of the movie. That was a part of my 'For Colored Girls' playlist. How we can inherit pain unless we intercept the cycle. We're just passing it forward. Thank you, Amos Lee."

Kyle Richards Camille Grammer Drama

Kyle Richards Camille Grammer Drama

When Kyle Richards first signed up to be on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, she thought the ladies were "going to avoid all that drama," she tells iVillage exclusively. Little did Richards, 41, know that between her constant fighting with older sister Kim Richards and her seemingly neverending feud with Kelsey Grammer's soon-to-be ex-wife, Camille, she's actually the center of the show's drama.

iVillage spoke with the mother of four (to daughters  Farrah, 21, Alexia, 14, Sophia, 10, and Portia, 2) about her small-screen battles, her hunky husband Mauricio's inappropriate fans and the advice her niece Paris Hilton gave her about being on a reality show.

How has the show affected your relationship with your sister Kim?

We don't always see eye to eye. I thought it would be easier to hide it. But I am someone who wears my heart on my sleeve and it's hard for me to lie. What I think or feel, I end up having to say.

Some people have the perception that you're mean to her.

It does make me feel bad. You're seeing a relationship that's many, many years in the making. You have no idea of the back story or history or anything. It's hard, because you want to defend yourself. But it's been a learning process, too. I need to learn how to handle myself better with her. Easier said than done. I want to say, "Wait -- you don't know how she acts toward me." You haven't seen that yet!

Previews for the rest of the season show you and Kim getting into a huge fight in a limo.

I can't go into details, but that was the worst part of doing the show. That was so miserable. Any kind of personal family thing to have out there is very upsetting. You say things, you do things that you wish you hadn't that you try to take back. Don't think I didn't try. I begged and begged.

You and Camille have had your share of battles.

With Camille, that totally came out of left field. I didn't know her well. She and Kelsey (Grammer) are clients of my husband's and that's how we knew each other. I didn't know her on a close level. I was really surprised by that.

What's your relationship like with her now?

It's awkward, I'm not going to lie. Our conflict started off camera and then every time we tried to address it or fix it, which was on camera, it just got worse. And I think I came to a place where I thought, "I'm not meant to be friends with everybody and I'm going to accept that." We're together doing photo shoots for work and doing business things and it's awkward.

TMZ recently posted a photo of you in a dress and heels taking out your trash. Are you always dressed that well around the house?

Never! That's embarrassing! Actually, no, that's not true. I was going to Fashion's Night Out, that's why I was dressed like that. Normally I'd be in my UGG slippers and flannel pajamas that I wear even in the summer.

Your niece, Paris Hilton, seems to be really supportive of you and Kim.

She's so supportive. She loves the show and it's so cute. I think it's so sweet that she loves the show so much. She has parties every Thursday at her house and has everyone over to watch and has dinner.

Did she give you any advice about being on a reality show?

I went to her and said, "I'm having such bad anxiety. I don't want any conflict with anyone and all of a sudden I'm having conflict with the cameras there." She said, "Look, this is supposed to be a fun time in your life. You can't stress out about every little thing. Just go with it and have fun. People will say bad things about you even if you don't do anything wrong. Just enjoy yourself."

And you're friends with Bethenny Frankel. Did she give you any tips for surviving Housewives?

Once we were already involved in the show and I had my conflict with Camille, I actually called her. And I just said, "I'm so stressed out. I don't know how you did this. This is so upsetting, having problems with someone like this and having cameras there. I get so upset and worked up. Oh my god, what do I do?" So I kept her on the phone for about an hour and a half having her talk me off the ledge!

Your husband Mauricio won the hottest husband poll on Watch What Happens Live. Has he gotten a lot of female fans since the show started?

How funny is that? My daughters were very amused by that. He has gotten female fans and the strangest emails. I cannot believe how graphic these women are. I have not gotten any emails like that from men! I said it on the show -- women are barracudas. Men don't act like that! Very X-rated photos coming in. My husband is horrified. I couldn't believe it! I get nothing like that. I'm very insulted!

How do your daughters feel about you being on the show?

They're so funny. They don't care either way. They can't understand when we're out and people come up and want to take a picture. They have this look like, "Why would anyone want to take a picture with you?" It's pretty funny.

Lastly, are you surprised at all by all the attention your hair has gotten? How do you get it to look so perfect?

Yeah, I am surprised. I thought people would be saying, "Her hair's too long for her age!" I'm just happy they're not saying I'm too old for it. I might as well keep it while I can. It's not just about the product that you use, though I use Patene. I'm very neurotic about taking care of my hair. I'm like this with my kids too. When I brush it I'm always like, "Do not snag!" Even if I go to the salon, I don't let people brush my hair.

Whose side are you on with The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills drama -- Kyle or Camille? Chime in below!

Michael Jackson Cirque Du Soleil Tour Details Revealed

'Michael will be represented in every way possible,' writer/director Jamie King tells MTV News.

Michael Jackson might be gone, but he's certainly not forgotten. With new music to be released on his posthumous album and a Jackson-centric Cirque du Soleil show set to hit the road next fall, MJ's pop-culture influence is still going strong.

When MTV News spoke to writer/director Jamie King, who is helming the Cirque du Soleil Immortal World Tour, he made it clear that when fans come out to see the show, Jackson's presence will be felt.

"It started with the music for me. I had to go back. I mean, we all know the Michael Jackson hits, but I really just wanted to sit and remember why I, as a fan, loved Michael and what his lyrics meant to me," he said. "I really started there, and ... it kind of became a snowball, wherein a story was being created for me. I was invited to Neverland [Ranch], and once I got there, I knew this was the environment I wanted to create for this show.

"Michael will be represented in every way possible, and that is from the video elements, holographic-type images and installation pieces to, of course, the choreography and that energy he gave onstage," King continued. "Essentially, there are living beings that are giving that energy that Michael would. Michael's lead vocal will always be there, because no one could sing it like Michael, but around that and outside of that, I'm going to be playing with remixing and mashing up, as well as give you some surprises and unreleased songs."

Without giving away too much about the 90-minute Jackson spectacular, King teased a bit about what Jackson maniacs can expect: "Michael's songs are the score for the show, and they guide us and lead us. ... Essentially, it's about following several characters as they get transported through a portal into Michael's world. This place is Neverland. In that world, we discover all kinds of things about Michael. Things we know ... and secrets."

What are you expecting from the MJ Cirque du Soleil show? Let us know in the comments!

Excuse Adam Lambert While He Kisses Some Guy...

Adam Lambert paid homage to Jimi Hendrix at a concert in France last night.

And to the countless music fans that have often mistaken the lyrics to this icon's classic 1967 single "Purple Haze."

As part of his Glam Nation Tour in Europe, Lambert treated concert goers to a rendition of this single, switching up the words from "Excuse me while I kiss the sky" to "Excuse me while I kiss some guy." Not merely apt for Adam, the latter verse has been sung so often that a website has actually been created in its honor.

From Where Does Willow Smith Get Her Flow?

Willow Smith might be whipping her hair across the land - and inspiring one of the funnier late night talk show videos in awhile - but the singer is still just 10 years old.

In the latest issue of W Magazine, Willow says simply: "I can’t do whatever I want. Mommy has to say it’s okay.” That mommy, of course, is actress Jada Pinkett Smith.

Willow in W

As for her musical influences and inspirations, Willow touched on those topics as well in the interview:

On her musical influences: “I like the way Billy Idol sings. Mommy turned me on to him. And I like Lady Gaga’s songs.”

On her parents: “Mommy and Daddy inspired me to be a performer. I get my flow from Daddy, my singing ability from Mommy, and the camera stuff from both. That’s just what happens when you hang out with the Smiths!”

'Harry Potter And Deathly Hallows - Part 1': The Reviews Are In!

The die-hards won't care what the critics say, but what they're saying is pretty positive.
By Eric Ditzian

When it comes to matters of box-office bucks, a film like "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1" is pretty much critic-proof. Its opening gross is usually insulated from critics tapping away at keyboards far removed from theaters where fans tote broomsticks and battle with faux-magical wands in the aisles.

Just try keeping those cosplayers at home. But, regardless of critical opinion — which just so happens to be largely positive — "Deathly Hallows" is shaping up to have one of the biggest openings ever. Prognosticators are eyeing a debut in the range of $130 million, good for the top "Potter" opening in franchise history and fifth place on the all-time list. And, as fans rush out to the multiplex in the opening hours in much the same way that Twilighters do, "Part 1" has a shot at besting "New Moon" and its $72.7 million first-day gross last year.

But should you brave the long lines and the frenetic energy of "Potter" obsessives? Do yourself a favor and check out what the critics are saying before you begin drawing a Harry-esque lightning bolt on your forehead.

The Story

" 'Deathly Hallows' is immensely satisfying. Nonetheless, things are gloomier than ever before: Harry, Hermione and Ron (Rupert Grint) are adrift; their anchor, Hogwarts, is no longer a safe haven. 'I must be the one to kill Harry Potter,' says the evil Voldemort, at the beginning of the film, setting the stage for the ultimate standoff. Dark forces amass against Harry and his allies, the Order of the Phoenix, who assemble for a thrilling skyborne escape early in the film. The fearless trio invades the Ministry of Magic in amusingly frumpy grown-up disguise, searches for Horcruxes (pieces of Voldemort's soul, to be used against him), spends a little too much time camping, and leaves you wishing 'Part II' were coming next week, not next summer." — Moira Macdonald, The Seattle Times

What If You Haven't Read the Books?

"Though I've seen all the films, there were times when I had no idea what they were talking about. Indeed, there are times when Hermione has to explain to Harry. My cluelessness didn't bother me, because the film depends more on mood and character than many of the others, and key actions seem to be alarmingly taking place off-screen." — Roger Ebert, Chicago Sun-Times

The Comparison to Earlier "Potter" Flicks

"Not that 'Deathly Hallows' is grim, exactly. But it is, to an unusual and somewhat risky degree, sadder and slower than the earlier films. It is also much less of a showcase (or bank vault, as the case may be) for the middle and senior generations of British actors. Many of the familiar faces show up — including Ralph Fiennes as Voldemort, Helena Bonham Carter as Bellatrix LeStrange, and, of course, Alan Rickman as Severus Snape — but they move along after a scene or two. ... The movie, in other words, belongs solidly to Mr. Radcliffe, Mr. Grint and Ms. Watson, who have grown into nimble actors, capable of nuances of feeling that would do their elders proud. One of the great pleasures of this penultimate 'Potter' movie is the anticipation of stellar post-'Potter' careers for all three of them." — A.O. Scott, The New York Times

The Dissenters

"The decision by David Heyman (who has produced all the films), Steve Kloves (who's scripted all but one) and David Yates (who will have directed the last four of the eight) to cut the final book into two features — whatever its sense as a business strategy — meant slowing the story down just as it should rev up. Instead of scooting like a Golden Snitch during a Quidditch championship, 'DH1' is struck with a long spell of aimlessness, and the viewer with the curse of ennui." — Richard Corliss, Time

The Final Word

"Ultimately, this movie's not for Muggles like me — it's for the millions and millions of Harry Potter fans who, quibbles aside, will welcome its arrival as a blessed event. It's evidence of how happily critic-proof these movies are that even the Warner Bros. logo — rendered in what looked to be rusting iron — was applauded when it appeared on the screen. After the movie, as the credits began to roll (to Alexandre Desplat's conventional but nonetheless transporting score), the girl on my left — perhaps 15 or 16 — whispered tearfully to her companion: 'So good. God, I can't wait for July.' That's all the critical analysis this movie needs." — Dana Stevens, Slate
