Carly Rae Jepsen 'Sworn To Secrecy' On Justin Bieber Duet

And, if they thought they'd learn something new about the track as she inches closer to the release of her debut album this September, they'd better think again.</P><P>"The Justin song, I'm kind of sworn to secrecy on because I think we want to release it together at one moment," Jepsen explained to MTV News about the track's rollout. "But the rest of the album, I'm really excited for."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Carly Rae Jepsen Is 'Excited' About Her LMFAO Collabo 'This Kiss'" id="vid:818177" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>While she didn't want to say much about that duet, Jepsen did have more to say about her work with LMFAO's RedFoo. That song, she shared, might be her favorite on the album.</P><P>"There's one particular song that I can't wait to share called 'This Kiss' that I wrote with Matthew Koma and <a href="/news/articles/1688409/carly-rae-jepsen-lmfao-billboard-magazine.jhtml">Redfoo from LMFAO</a>," she explained. "[The sound is] definitely in my vein, but he's a really brilliant guy, and I think if anything when a collaboration happens, it's a little bit of everybody that makes it what it is. So maybe not just me and not just him, but us together."</P><P>In addition to being a bit secretive about the tracks on the record, Jepsen revealed she is also full of a number of other feelings. Admitting a range of emotions including pressure and anxiety, she said, "The main winning one is excitement. I just feel really lucky to be able to do this. I've been writing since I was 17, and to finally have an audience ready to hear some of that is really, really exciting for me."</P><P>Jepsen said her album will reflect more the woman she is now than the girl she was all those years ago. While the show doesn't premiere until September, audio leaked Thursday (May 24) from auditions in Austin, Texas, give us a taste of what we'll be in for come fall. In the clip, Spears and fellow newbie Demi Lovato give differing critiques to a young male contestant.</P><P>"I think that you have a great voice and your tone was great," 19-year-old Lovato told the contestant. "But, I don't really know where you fit. I don't know what's going to set you apart from other musicians who are boys. So, I think you just have to find out what makes you special and what separates you from all the other teenage boys in this industry."</P><P>Britney, on the other hand, had a some kinder words for the amateur singer. "I think you can be bigger than the next Justin Bieber," Spears said, eliciting a rambunctious response from the crowd.</P><P>"I feel like your runs are amazing," she added. "And I do feel like with a little more training, you could actually [inaudible] better presentation, but I see what's there. And you're very gifted. Welcome to THG Asks, a feature in which our two celebrity gossip experts debate a topical issue in the entertainment world and readers decide on which side they fall.
Today, we turn our focus not just to Kristen Stewart and her shocking affair with Rupert Sanders, but to her unusual decision to issue a public apology regarding her actions.
We ponder both arguments and then THG Asks: Should the actress have taken this step?

Kristen Stewart owes the public one thing and one thing only: the best performance she can give on screen. She's an actress. She didn't cause any personal or emotional harm to a single fan out there and, no offense, but if she did... that's your fault, not hers.
Kristen owes Robert Pattinson an apology. She owes Liberty Ross, the wife of Sanders, an apology. She owes the director's two kids an apology. These were people actually affected by her lapse in judgment.
But what Stewart does in the privacy of her own home - or in the front seat of a car, apparently - is between Stewart, the person she is doing it with and those connected to either or both. When it comes someone such as Kristen, who has clearly never craved fame, I choose to judge her solely on her acting chops and don't expect her to meet any sort of ethical standard in her personal life.
And I certainly don't need her to apologize to me when she fails to do so.

Hi, Free Britney. Welcome to 2012. Your argument may have made sense a couple decades ago, prior to tabloids and the paparazzi and the Internet and the blurring of lines between the public, the private and the professional.
But this isn't a debate over how thing should be. It's a debate over how things are.
And this is how they are in this age, especially for a star such as Stewart and a franchise such as The Twilight Saga: the movies are sold as much on Kristen and Rob's relationship as they are on vampires, werewolves and half-human babies. It's very easy to argue that Stewart's dalliance with Sanders will cost the studio millions, considering fans who simply won't be able to stand her on screen any longer.
Yes, Twihards take their Robsten very seriously and, whether Stewart wanted to play that game or not, she profited significantly from it. The investment of others in her relationship with Pattinson shot this actress on to the A-list. And she knew that. She may have disdained the spotlight, but she was aware that countless fans were staring at her in it and expecting her - at the very least - not to cheat with a married man nearly twice her age.
I mean, seriously. Are we really at the point where we're second guessing an apology? Isn't that what we ask for from those who make a mistake?

Well, on Monday (July 9), the A-list-filled roster was announced.</P><P>In a press release, Clear Channel confirmed that <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/swift__taylor/artist.jhtml">Taylor Swift</a>, Aerosmith, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/rihanna/artist.jhtml">Rihanna</a>, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/Usher/artist.jhtml">Usher</a>, Bon Jovi, Lil Wayne, Green Day, Swedish House Mafia, No Doubt, Brad Paisley, Pitbull, deadmau5, Miranda Lambert, Enrique Iglesias, Linkin Park, Jason Aldean, <a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/pink/artist.jhtml">Pink</a>, Mary J. Blige, Calvin Harris and Shakira will all take the stage during the two-day festival. Ryan Seacrest will host.</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Looking 4 Myself Can't Be 'Categorized'" id="vid:767986" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>"The iHeartRadio Music Festival is a unique celebration of music — it's the biggest names in the industry coming together for an impressive weekend of live entertainment," Seacrest said in a statement. Tickets for the two-day fest will go on sale on July 14.</P><P>"The iHeartRadio Music Festival is the ultimate celebration of what's hot in all genres of music, from rock, pop and country to electronic dance music, R&B and hip-hop," Tom Poleman, president of Clear Channel national programming and executive producer of the festival, added in the release. Justin Bieber Gets Bloody In 'As Long As You Love Me' Tease

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> looked a little beaten and bloodied in a photo released by his <a href="/news/articles/1688450/justin-bieber-next-single-as-long-as-you-love-me.jhtml">"As Long as You Love Me" video director</a>, Anthony Mandler. According to the director, "It's a story of love.... #believe."</P><P>He then tweeted a <a href="https://twitter.com/justinbieber" target="_blank">still photo</a> of Bieber looking beaten up with blood dripping from his mouth, as if he had been punched. Perhaps Bieber must fight to keep his girl in the new video?</P><P>Bieber shot the clip earlier this month and on his Twitter teased that it would be along the lines of a short film. The video will also feature rapper <a href="/news/articles/1687783/justin-bieber-big-sean-true-g.jhtml">Big Sean,</a> who tweeted about how epic he thinks the video is going to be. "@justinbieber gonna be a GOOD vid!" he wrote in the midst of shooting. "Congrats boi."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Justin Bieber Proving His Haters Wrong With 'Good Music'" id="vid:793035" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Sean wasn't the only visitor on set. Bieber also got a number of other A-list drop-bys, though no word on whether they will appear in the clip. Bieber shared, "My big bros @usherraymondiv @iamwill and @asherRoth all came thru the video shoot. #Believe."</P><P>While little is known about what will happen in the video, other than Bieber getting hit, the singer's manager, Scooter Braun, shared that it would leave other guys very envious. "I promise on everything that every guy on the planet wishes they were Justin Bieber in this music video right now," he tweeted.</P><P>Bieber's longtime associate, videographer Alfredo Flores, added, "As Long as You Love Me video is epic! @justinbieber is destroying this dance. @BigSean is killing his verse. #GETREADY."</P><P>"As Long as You Love Me" is the second video and single from Bieber's <a href="/news/articles/1687691/justin-bieber-believe-album-details.jhtml">chart-topping <i>Believe</i></a> album. This is the first time that Mandler has worked with Bieber, though he has already helmed major video releases for the likes of Rihanna, Nicki Minaj, Drake, Usher and Jay-Z, to name a few. A release date for the video has yet to be announced.</P><P>This is not the first time this year that fans have seen Bieber get beaten up for his art. I'm here! I'm here! And I saw my first gang-banger get arrested yesterday so I feel like a total Angeleno.
I'm getting ready to go to the gym (again, like a total Angeleno!) so I will update later about my run-ins with Alexander Skarsgard, Pauly Shore, and Jeremy or Jason London (I'm not sure which one it was and seeing if I could force him to do drugs to find out seemed unfair. Besides, as it turned out, he was telling the truth?)
Anyhoo, I've got a lot to tell you about gardening! (Did you know if you get dirt wet it turns into mud? Yuck.)
And bumpers! (They don't bump off anything... they go, "Scraaaaaaaatch!")
And there's probably more but, again, I have to go because I have to get to the gym!

Ke$ha Previews 'Supernatural' New Track
Producer Dr. Luke unveils a snippet of a song from her upcoming album.

<P>It's not exactly <a href="/news/articles/1663946/kesha-new-album.jhtml">"balls-out irreverent rock and roll"</a> — quite the opposite, in fact — but with one 40-second snippet, Ke$ha is serving notice that her new album is most definitely going to be a departure.</P><P>On Wednesday (June 6), frequent Ke$h collaborator Dr. Luke gave fans <a href="http://soundcloud.com/drluke/snippet-super" target="_blank">a sneak peek</a> at a song from her long-in-the-works new album, an all-too-brief preview that features her cooing about a lover's prowess — "When you take my body to the stars/ I believe it/ Boy, this love is supernatural/ Can you feel it?" over a bed of shimmering synths and knotty bass that gradually builds to a twisting, rapidly contrasting electronic break.</P><P><iframe width="100%" height="166" scrolling="no" frameborder="no" src="http://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.soundcloud.com%2Ftracks%2F48805816&auto_play=false&show_artwork=true&color=ff7700"></iframe></P><P>It's the kind of high-gloss production she largely avoided on her breakthrough <a href="/news/articles/1629566/keha-partying-pop-genius-weve-all-been-waiting.jhtml"><i>Animal</i></a> album, and while we certainly can't figure out how the track fits in with her <i>other</i> collaborations (she's reportedly worked with everyone from <a href="/news/articles/1685827/kesha-flaming-lips-tattoo.jhtml">Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne</a> to Iggy Pop on the still-untitled new album), the new track certainly showcases her maturation. And thanks to Ke$h herself, at least we know what the new track is about: having sex with ghosts.</P><P>Yes, just hours after Dr. Luke leaked the snippet, Ke$ha took to her Twitter account to mock-chastise her producer, <a href="https://twitter.com/keshasuxx/status/210428157554196480" target="_blank">writing</a>: "You leaked my song about me having sexy time with a ghost, @thedoctorluke," she wrote. "Now everyone knows I get it on with ghosts!"</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="Ke$ha Says New Album Will Be ' Balls-Out, Irreverent Rock'" id="vid: 652875" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Somehow, that doesn't surprise us. There's still no firm release date for Ke$ha's new album, which she began working on in February. But, from the sound of one snippet, at least, it sounds like things are progressing quickly. <P><b>NEW YORK</b> — After the <a href="/news/articles/1683238/tupac-coachella-hologram-.jhtml">Tupac hologram performance</a> at Coachella made such a huge splash, the team behind the projection system floated the possibility this week of an <a href="/news/articles/1683909/justin-bieber-elvis-hologram.jhtml">Elvis hologram to perform with Justin Bieber</a>. Even '90s girl group <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/04/26/tlc-reunion-tour-left-eye-hologram">TLC is rumored to be considering</a> a virtual version of <a href="/news/articles/1683858/left-eye-tlc-death.jhtml">the late Left Eye</a> on their upcoming tour.</P><P>With all that talk, MTV News hit Times Square to ask fans which departed artists they would most like to see perform in hologram form. "It would have to be Freddie Mercury because Queen were one of the all-time greatest bands and he was a showman," said a fan named Rob.</P><P>Blane Mader would like to see a hologram of another <a href="/news/articles/1683289/tupac-hologram-coachella-future-of-touring.jhtml"> great showman, Michael Jackson</a>.</P><P>"It's a really cliché answer, but in my time I've never seen him and it would just be something awesome to watch," Mader said of the King of Pop.</P><P>Members of the Jackson 5 recently announced that they would love to have a <a href="http://rapfix.mtv.com/2012/04/23/michael-jackson-hologram-jackson-brothers-tour">virtual Michael</a> on their upcoming Unity Tour. "Wouldn't that be wonderful? As a matter of fact, we had that idea two years ago for Michael's Cirque du Soleil show," Michael's brother Jackie Jackson told E!
